Oh how time flies

My last post was in July! It seems like just yesterday. The Thatcher home has been going thru so many changes its no wonder I feel like a whirlwind has been going on the last few months. Let me explain.

August was one of the busiest months I have ever had. Moved Staci, Ashley & Chris to Utah to attend school. One U-haul, trailer for Chris's truck & about 6 suitcases taken on an aircraft we made it. Ashley is attending BYU, Staci-Paul Mitchell Beauty School & Chris is attending UVU. They are all enjoying themselves. Charla & Jade have become the designated serrogate mom & dad in Utah. They have been doing incredible. Sunday dinners, holidays, etc their house has become instantly full with the Thatcher Clan. I am so glad they all have each other to rely on and enjoy each others company. Family is so important.

Mark & I took a few days and flew to Hawaii for R&R it was fabulous but much to short of a time. We have been enjoying our emptynesting time together. We also in the middle of this received new callings to serve in the Young Single Adult Branch. Wouldn't you know it the minute you think you are going to get some quiet time your calendar gets instantly full!

The most important event was Staci & Chris's wedding in October. The day was rainy but we really didn't notice. The reception at the Country Club was beautiful and the perfect party for these two. Pics will follow of course I didn't take any of my own pics that day.

In the middle of all of this there have been huge changes at my work. Learning a new computer system and a new culture has been challenging and at times frustrating. I can tell you that each day gets a little better and that I will become a pro at the system in a few years! LOL! Just kidding.

Lastly, Lily our maltipoo gave birth to 3 pups a few days ago! Ok so now I admit I have lost my mind. They are so cute and hopefully we will find good homes for them but WHAT WAS I THINKING!

As we enter the Holiday season I hope and pray that we all will be able to enjoy the time together with family & friends.

JoDean,

I am so happy to see a new posting on your blog. Yippee. Please enjoy this new phase in your life, both as Empty Nesters, and in the Branch. We will really miss you in the Ward...I really enjoy reading about all the awesome things that are going on in your family. Keep up the good work.
